Tamera Heine was born and raised in the Marshall Islands until 2006 when she moved to Honolulu to pursue her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She is currently working on her master’s in Public Administration while working as the Community Outreach Coordinator at the Marshall Islands Consulate. Tamera is an advocate of social and civil rights for migrants, particularly those from the Freely Associated States living in the Hawaii. She serves as a member for the Marshallese Education Day committee and is involved in many other community driven initiatives.
